Marisa Mallol was born in Alcoy, Alicante, Spain in 1942. At the age of thirteen, Mallol began here first studies of painting in La Escuela de Artes y Oficios in Alcoy. After completing these studies Mallol began working in the studio and studying the techniques of the great landscape artist, Daniel Pastor, from Alcoy, as well as other well known artists. Three years of studying artistic drawing followed at the Escuela Industrial de Alcoy, under the teaching of the master, Mario Candela, another artist from Alcoy.
With a passion for painting and a love for challenge, Mallol has continued to search out new subjects. Because of her talent and desire, she has been able to encompass many themes in her paintings. Her paintings come together to offer a subject that is simplified, and harmonious.
Most recently, Mallol has turned her attention to creating realistic still life paintings with fruit, flowers and glass objects. These paintings are of sophisticated subjects that are created with delicate and decisive brush strokes that pull the viewer into a world of realism.
Mallol’s paintings can be found in international private as well as public collections.

Marisa Mallol è un’artista spagnola, nata ad Alcoy (Alicante)
nella Spagna orientale, nel 1942.
Ha studiato nella Scuola d’Arte di Alcoy
e dipinge dall’età di tredici anni
Affascinata dall’iperrealismo
(dipingere il vero in modo più dettagliato di quanto
possa fare in realtà il nostro occhio)
ha sempre proseguito su questa scelta
in evidente contrasto
con le grandi rivoluzioni artistiche della Spagna moderna
e dell’Arte in generale.
I suoi soggetti preferiti sono le nature morte
che rappresentano in modo costante
fiori, frutti, e trasparenze d’acqua e cristallo.
Nei suoi quadri è sempre presente
come una firma
una piccola goccia di acqua versata
(la sua intenzione di scegliere semplicità e luce)
Nei dipinti di Marissa Mallol
si legge una capacità tecnica indiscutibile
un cromatismo lirico di grande classe
arricchito dal gioco prezioso delle trasparenze
e una composizione sobria ed elegante
Il fascino che emanano le sue composizioni
si rinnova ad ogni opera, superando i limiti
pur evidenti della ripetitività.
